For twenty years, Wagtech has been building strong relationships with customers all over the world, and partnering with them in meeting their environmental monitoring requirements.
As Wagtech enters its third decade, we are proud to say that we are 
investing more than ever before in our products and services that serve to help our customers perform accurate and efficient tests at affordable costs.
The water sector has experienced significant changes over the past few decades, and the short-to-medium term future looks set to bring even greater challenges in light of increasing concern over man’s impact on the environment and a global water shortage. Inextricably linked, climate change is expected to account for around 20 per cent of the global water shortage in the 21st Century, representing a genuine threat to all.
Despite the great work that such a large number of organisations have done over the past few decades to improve access to clean water, recent research has indicated that the rate of improvement is starting to fall, with effects likely to be witnessed as early as 2015. Moreover, it is again the world’s poorest economies that will be hardest hit.
Is it estimated that water consumption has been increasing at approximately twice the rate of population growth in the last century, with the global population expected to peak at 9 billion in 2070. Against this backdrop, it is clear to see how water usage for all areas of society, from drinking water through to industrial applications, is being stretched to unsustainable levels.
Whilst the drive towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly industrial processes gathers pace, we must still acknowledge that there is more work to be done than has currently been achieved.
New challenges also bring new opportunities, and with a core focus on reinvesting in our products and services and continuing to work with customers in developing long term sustainable relationships, Wagtech are confident and excited about the future cooperation that we have with our customers. Wagtech staff will continue to travel to all corners of world to meet with our customers, engaging local communities in productive economical projects, and providing post sales support in the form of installation, commissioning and training, as part of an unrivalled customer support service with which we are exceptionally proud.
To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, Wagtech will shortly be releasing a suite of new water testing initiatives that will both compliment and expand upon our existing activities, further aiding our customers in carrying out environmental monitoring programs. New brochures and catalogues will be released for Environmental Testing and Monitoring, Water Test Kits and Wagtech Mobile Laboratories. A new Environmental Catalogue will detail the extensive range of specialised equipment that Wagtech regularly supply on projects, and a Mobile Laboratories brochure will provide customers with even more options for configuring the ultimate in-situ monitoring package. An updated version of ‘The Definitive Guide to Portable Water Testing’ will feature updated products and plenty of informative content on methods, applications, instructions and case studies.
