Wagtech in Central America August 31, 2010 11:27
This year saw the return of Wagtech routine sales trips to Central America. The trip emphasises Wagtech’s recent drive to increase support for its products into South America with more country visits already planned for later this year.
Mexico
Wagtech work closely with partners in Mexico City focusing specifically on water quality instrumentation, and through them, Wagtech staff visited a wide range of customers from state water boards to government regulators. The new Metalyser HM1000, portable heavy metals analyser, was demonstrated at these meetings and attendees were given the chance to try the product and familiarise themselves with the technology. In particular, Wagtech visited the Mexican Institute of Water Technology (IMTA) in Cuernavaca City and the National Water Commission (CONAGUA) in Mexico City.
This highly successful trip ensured that the Metalyser is now officially available in Central America and further trips are already being planned to carry out commission and training on orders.

Panama
Wagtech’s first visit to Panama enabled us to meet with our humanitarian partners located in the Ciudad Del Saber (City of Knowledge). This ex-US military base is now being used as a collective industrial hub for the region, providing a coherent setup in such an important international trading country.
Exciting new ventures have already been planned which will essentially further increase the scope and speed with which Wagtech kits will be available throughout South America. The conclusion of the trip now means that Wagtech will be working with partners in Panama to provide an improved service to the entire region and Wagtech staff will again be back in Panama shortly.
Nicaragua
Nicaragua is actively working towards, and making significant advances in increasing water quality standards across the country. This relatively new market for Wagtech proved to be a great success as Wagtech were welcomed by government water authorities as being able to provide the equipment and services to aid their efforts. The Metalyser, portable heavy metals analyser, was demonstrated to a large audience of representatives from various organisations at the Technological University of Nicaragua (CIEMA). The presentation provided the attendees with the chance to see the product being used and discuss at length both the theory and the practical aspects of the kit with Wagtech staff. Wagtech have set up a local partner in Managua and so this, and subsequent country visits, will ensure that Wagtech maintains its worldwide guarantee of in-country post-sales support.
